Unlike most ribbon motors designed today
with an offset ribbon element the new Cascade 731R houses a hand-tuned dual
ribbon element motor that incorporates the legendary symmetrical ribbon
design. This design offers a true figure 8 pattern. The
corrugated aluminum membrane itself is
positioned in the center from front to back, thus producing a balanced audio
input signal to both sides of the ribbon assembly. This design is very
useful when executing a mid-side or Blumlein recording set-up and also great
for live stage use.

The Cascade M39 is a cardioid
condenser that has a 22mm diameter diaphragm. The Cascade M39 has
a silky, open audio quality with a wide dynamic range essential
for accurate, instrument recording and is ideal for use as drum
over heads, hi-hat, snare, or acoustic instruments such as guitar
and piano. The M39 features a high SPL rating of 137 dB and is
capable of capturing even the loudest of audio sources. The M39 is
a compact microphone that is great for recording a wide range of
instruments and is in use in professional and project studios
around the world.

The Cascade V57 offer a 1.07" gold plated
capsule and is a transformerless design. This microphone is suitable for
most studio applications and is an exception value for project and pro
studios alike. The frequency response is somewhat flat with a bump between
10-20k. The microphone includes a -10dB Pad and a 150Hz low-cut switch on
the back-side of the microphone. Extensive detail has been taken to assure
that the audio quality and exterior finish meets the highest standards.
