All microphones are in A-stock working order and carry a full warranty. The reason these microphones are considered B-stock is due to slight cosmetic blemishes (the blemish might be on the case or the microphone itself).

The Cascade VIN-JET ribbon microphone features a 2 7/16” long ribbon of aluminum suspended in the field of a pair of Neodymium rare earth permanent magnets. When the ribbon is exposed to sound it vibrates within the magnetic field and a tiny current is induced in the ribbon. This current is amplified to produce sound. What makes ribbon microphones so incredibly sensitive and accurate is that the signal comes directly from the material that senses the sound; nothing is lost in translation. The result is the most intimate, warm, and articulate sound produced by any type of microphone. Ribbon microphones are an excellent choice for recording guitar cabinets, drum overheads and vocals.

The Cascade FAT HEAD offers the natural and open sound associated with the finest ribbon microphones. The Cascade V57 offer a 1.07" gold plated capsule and is a transformerless design. This microphone is suitable for most studio applications and is an exception value for project and pro studios alike. The frequency response is somewhat flat with a bump between 10-20k. The microphone includes a -10dB Pad and a 150Hz low-cut switch on the backside of the microphone. Extensive detail has been taken to assure that the audio quality and exterior finish meets the highest standards.

Visually, the C77 is reminiscent of classic ribbon microphones of the past but with a twist. Here at Cascade we have been listening to customer feedback and have designed our premium series of microphones to meet the wants, needs, and desires of all studio users while still keeping our products at an affordable price. The C77 comes fitted with a Lundahl LL2913 transformer mounted on a custom PCB board, along with Evidence Audio solid-core copper wire and a Chicago Switchcraft XLR connector. The C77 features a symmetrical ribbon design and is assembled at the Cascade Lab located in Olympia, WA.
